As the number of electric cars (EVs) on the road continues to increase, there is a growing need for data analysis and manipulation to gain better insights into the trends and patterns of EV usage. This is due to the rising popularity of EVs as people become more aware of the impact of traditional gasoline-powered vehicles on the environment and the expenses associated with them.

Below are my motivations for summarizing and doing data visualization to the dataset taken from https://catalog.data.gov/dataset/electric-vehicle-population-data.

1. Analyze the popularity of EV by Make through the grouping of data. This may be useful for EV manufacturers to better understand the market.

2. Identify geographically where the most EV ownership is. This is done by grouping the data by state. This information is useful for policymakers to understand, and plan supports for EV growth, including charging station locations.
